Before you start

Step 1.Open the Google Play Store
From the Android TV or Google TV home screen, open the Play Store and search for 'Cast4K'.
Step 2.Install and open Cast4K
Install the app, then open it. The first screen shows a device code or credentials prompt.
Step 3.Send the code to us
Message the device code to 416-989-3108 on WhatsApp. We attach your subscription and load the playlist for you.
Step 4.Reopen and load the playlist
Reopen Cast4K. Your channel groups, VOD and EPG appear. First sync takes about a minute.
Step 5.Set the default player and buffer
In Cast4K settings, enable hardware decoding and set the buffer to medium. On a wired connection you can lower the buffer for faster channel switching.
Step 6.Set the TV to match the source
Enable 'Match content frame rate' in Android TV display settings so 50Hz feeds from Europe play smoothly alongside 60Hz North American channels.
Tips that make a real difference
- A Google TV remote's voice button will not search inside Cast4K — use Favourites instead of hunting through categories.
- Reboot the TV weekly if it stays powered for months; Android memory pressure causes slow app launches.
- Chromecast with Google TV (HD) is 1080p only. Buy the 4K model if you plan to watch UHD sports.
Troubleshooting
Cast4K missing from the Play Store
Your TV region or Android TV version may not list it. Message us and we will recommend the best alternative player for your exact model.
Playlist loads but VOD is empty
VOD indexes after the live list. Wait two minutes, then restart the app.
Constant buffering on Wi-Fi
Use Ethernet or a powerline adapter. If wiring is impossible, ask us to move you to a closer server.
