Formuler Box Setup: Adding a Portal in MYTVOnline 2 and 3
Formuler boxes are the enthusiast choice in Canada because MYTVOnline is purpose-built for IPTV: a proper channel grid, instant zapping and a genuinely usable EPG. The portal setup differs slightly between MYTVOnline 2 (Z10, older Z8) and MYTVOnline 3 (Z11 Pro Max, Z12 Pro Max), so both are covered below.
Before you start
Note your device MAC address — Settings → System Information on the box. Some lines are MAC-locked, and sending us the MAC in advance means the portal is live before you finish reading this page.
Connect the box by Ethernet if the router is reachable. Formuler hardware decodes 4K comfortably, so almost all quality complaints on these boxes trace back to Wi-Fi rather than the device.

Step-by-step: Formuler Z10 / Z11 / Z12 (MYTVOnline)
Step 1.MYTVOnline 2 — open the portal editor
Launch MYTVOnline 2 from the Formuler home screen, then select 'Edit Portal', or press the Menu button on the remote to open settings.
Step 2.MYTVOnline 2 — enter the portal details
Type a Portal Name of your choosing, then enter the Portal URL we provided character for character. Select Connect; the box loads live channels, VOD and the EPG.
Step 3.MYTVOnline 3 — open Content Manager
Launch MYTVOnline 3, press the three-line Menu button to open the sidebar, then go to Settings → Content Manager → Edit Portals.
Step 4.MYTVOnline 3 — add the portal
Choose 'Add Portal', enter a Portal Name, paste the Portal URL, and add your Xtream Codes login and password if your line uses credentials rather than MAC locking.
Step 5.Connect and verify
Select Connect. Open the Canada or Sports category and confirm a live channel plays. The full EPG populates within a couple of minutes on first load.
Step 6.Set your picture output
Formuler Settings → Display → set resolution to 2160p 60Hz and match your TV's HDR mode. Leave 'Auto Frame Rate' on so 50Hz European sports feeds play judder-free.
Tips that make a real difference
- Assign the coloured remote keys to Favourites and EPG — it makes daily use much faster than menu diving.
- The optional Bluetooth voice remote (BT1) is worth it if you search VOD often.
- Keep a photo of your portal URL in your phone; it saves a support message if you ever factory-reset the box.
Troubleshooting
Portal loads but no channels appear
The line is likely MAC-locked to a different device. Send us the MAC from Settings → System Information and we will re-register it.
Audio drops on certain channels
Settings → Audio → set output to PCM rather than passthrough if your TV or soundbar cannot decode the source format.
Box reboots during 4K playback
Almost always underpowered USB power or an overheating enclosure. Use the supplied adapter and leave clearance above the box.

What is the difference between MYTVOnline 2 and 3?
MYTVOnline 3 ships on the Z11 Pro Max and Z12 Pro Max with a redesigned Content Manager, faster zapping and multi-portal handling. MYTVOnline 2 runs on the Z10 and remains fully supported.
Does the Formuler box include a subscription?
No. The hardware and the IPTV service are billed separately. Boxes purchased from us carry a two-year replacement warranty.
Can I use a Formuler box outside Canada?
Yes. The portal works anywhere with a stable internet connection, which is why snowbirds keep Canadian channels while wintering in Florida or Arizona.
