How to Set Up IPTV on Amazon Firestick in Canada
The Fire TV Stick is the most common IPTV device in Canadian homes: it is inexpensive, it plugs into any HDMI port, and it runs a fork of Android that happily sideloads IPTV players. This guide covers the full install on a Fire TV Stick Lite, 4K and 4K Max, including the developer settings Amazon hides by default.
Before you start
Confirm the Firestick is on the same network you plan to watch on, and that the connection sustains at least 25 Mbps for a single 4K stream or 10 Mbps for HD. Run a speed test from the Fire TV Silk browser if you are unsure.
Have your subscription credentials handy. After you message us on WhatsApp we send an Xtream Codes username, password and server URL — that trio is everything the player needs. Nothing else is typed into the device.
If your Firestick has been sitting in a drawer, run Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for Updates first. An outdated Fire OS is the single most common cause of a player that installs but refuses to open.

Step 1.Allow apps from unknown sources
From the Fire TV home screen go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and switch on 'Apps from Unknown Sources'. On newer Fire OS builds you may need to open Settings → My Fire TV → About and click 'Fire TV Stick' seven times to reveal Developer Options.
Step 2.Install the Downloader app
Return to the home screen, open Search, type 'Downloader' and install the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews. Open it once and accept the storage permission prompt.
Step 3.Sideload IPTV Smarters Pro
In Downloader's URL bar type aftv.news/451753 and press Go. Wait for the APK to download, choose Install, then Open. Delete the APK when prompted to save space.
Step 4.Log in with Xtream Codes
Open IPTV Smarters Pro, choose 'Login with Xtream Codes API', give the profile any name you like, then paste the username, password and server URL exactly as we sent them. Watch for trailing spaces — they are the number one login failure.
Step 5.Load channels and the EPG
The player pulls the channel list, VOD library and 7-day EPG on first launch. This takes 30–90 seconds on a Firestick Lite. Once complete, open Live TV and pick a Canadian sports channel to confirm playback.
Step 6.Tune the player for smooth 4K
Open Settings inside IPTV Smarters → Player Selection → set the default to IJK Player with hardware decoding enabled. On a Fire TV Stick 4K Max, also set Fire OS Display to 3840×2160 60Hz rather than 'Auto'.

Troubleshooting
App installs but crashes on launch
Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → IPTV Smarters Pro → Clear Cache, then Force Stop and reopen. If it still crashes, the Fire OS build is out of date — update the device.
Channels buffer during live sports only
Live sports carry the highest bitrate. Switch to Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, then message us and we will move your line to a closer Toronto or Montréal edge server.
EPG shows the wrong times
Set the Fire TV timezone to Eastern Time, then in the player go to Settings → EPG → Update from server.
