Before you start

Step-by-step: Apple TV, iPhone & iPad
Step 1.Install the player
On Apple TV, open the App Store and install iPlayTV or IPTV Smarters. On iPhone or iPad, install IPTV Smarters Pro or GSE Smart IPTV.
Step 2.Add a playlist via Xtream Codes
Open the app, choose 'Add playlist' or 'Add new user', and select the Xtream Codes API option rather than M3U.
Step 3.Enter your credentials
Paste the username, password and server URL from our WhatsApp message. Avoid retyping by hand — copy and paste prevents typos.
Step 4.Load channels and EPG
The app pulls live channels, VOD and the 7-day guide. On an iPhone this takes seconds; Apple TV takes slightly longer on first load.
Step 5.Enable Match Content on Apple TV
Settings → Video and Audio → Match Content → turn on Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate for correct HDR and 50/60Hz handling.
Step 6.Add favourites
Mark your regular Canadian sports and news channels as favourites so they sit at the top of the guide.
Tips that make a real difference
- AirPlay from an iPhone to an Apple TV works, but a native Apple TV player gives far better quality.
- On cellular, lower the stream quality in the app to avoid burning through your data plan.
- Apple TV's ethernet port (4K Wi-Fi + Ethernet model) is the single best upgrade for stability.
Troubleshooting
Playlist will not load on Apple TV
Confirm the server URL includes the correct port and no trailing slash. Re-copy the credentials from WhatsApp.
Video plays but no sound on some channels
Switch the app's audio output to stereo, or set Apple TV audio format to 'Change Format → Stereo' for channels that use unusual codecs.
Streams stop when the iPhone locks
Enable background playback in the app settings, or keep the display awake while casting.
